Roy wins Ginetta G40 Chariman's Cup!

Huge congratulations are in order for our Chairman Roy Alderslade this week!

It was Roy's last race of the season at Donnington Park this weekend, and he went out with a flourish, winning all three races, and the overall Chairmans' Cup!

Read his summary of the weekend:

‘’We started the final round at Donnington with a 44 point lead in the Championship, we won race one which only left 4 points required to seal the Championship. I did of course have to finish to achieve this so drove a conservative race to make sure we kept if on the grey stuff! Conservative it may have been but still good enough for First place & secured the Championship.

The final race was gloves off for all out fun. My team mate Rob Keogh needed to finish the race ahead of Chris Salkeld, he got pushed wide on turn one which left him with a lot of work to do. I left Rob a load of space at the Old hairpin so he could get a good run to catch up. He caught up & got past Chris but unfortunately Chis got past Rob again on one of the last few corners. My race turned out very exciting with lots of action & the closet racing all season, in fact so close that I lost a quarter of my bonnet as I tried to avoid a spinning car in front of me.’’

You can watch the action for yourself below!
